Careers & Jobs – Making a good first impression with a potential employer involves more than just showing up with a smile. During an interview you have numerous opportunities to show your potential new employer how organized, prepared, experienced, and effective you are. It just takes a little bit of preparation. From the basics to the unique, here are a few pointers to help you know exactly what to take to an interview.
I usually bring something "borrowed" from my previous employer's desk like an expensive engraved pen or paperweight. It not only proves that you have had a job but gives you plenty of time to answer questions cause the room usually goes strangely quiet when you whip out the item with someone else's name on it and say "Pig vomit sends his regards, ha ha ha!"
"What to TAKE to an interview"..
During the interviews I conducted I deducted points for improper usage of bring/take and other such ignorant examples of the lack of command of the English language.
When dealing with the public you want an employee that will impress a customer.
Similar language is often used in the resumes tendered by applicants with college degrees. You can guess which stack those resumes land in.
I do not use the "Queens English" but there are simple basic language skills people should know and use.
So "TAKE" correct language skills with you to an interview.
Chas.
1st and 4-most, they don't be talking so good in Queens. Bronx neither.
2ndly, you end a sentence with a prepysition. That kind of error up with which I shall not put.
Notwithstanding, you be so right bout this. One be BRINGING stuff to the interview not TAKEING. The only thing you TAKE is what you get away with when they ain't looking.
So TAKE that!
