It's the cherry-picking of only the healthiest by insurance companies that is most disturbing. And it virtually cries out for nationalized single-payer systems like in Canada to prevent bankruptcy for those who would otherwise be solvent.

Yeah - 60K might seem like a decent salary, but it would only really take one trip to the hospital without insurance coverage to destroy your finances.
